Description Overview: We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team and safeguard critical systems, data, and applications from ever-evolving cyber threats. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain secure frameworks while proactively identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating risks. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of cybersecurity protocols, technologies, and best practices, equipped to operate in dynamic environments across industries such as financial services, healthcare, government, and technology. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining cyber resilience in a high-demand field. Key Responsibilities: + Security Architecture: Design, deploy, and manage secure systems architecture, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and virtual private networks (VPN). + Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify, address, and prevent vulnerabilities + Incident Response: Monitor for suspicious activities, respond to cybersecurity incidents, and implement remediation strategies to prevent recurrence. + Compliance: Ensure the organization meets industry security standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR. + Policy Development: Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation to educate and guide employees in maintaining secure work practices. + Collaboration: Work closely with IT, network, and software teams to ensure security measures are integrated into system designs and operational processes. + Emerging Threats: Stay current with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, including AI, machine learning, and digital security advancements, to preemptively address risks Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications: + Strong knowledge of IT security frameworks, risk management, and cryptographic protocols. + Experience with security monitoring and management tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners). + Proficiency in implementing and managing security for cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud + In-depth understanding of cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements. + Hands-on experience with network security, application security, and endpoint protection. + Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for mitigating complex security issues. Preferred Qualifications: + Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable + Advanced skills in AI and machine learning to improve threat detection and response + Familiarity with secure software and application development.
