Raytheon's **Airborne Multi-Mission Electronics** Department, part of **Integrated Electrical Solution** mission area, is seeking an experienced **Firmware Design Engineer** to design and develop power conversion technologies for the airborne military applications. **What You Will Do** + Support work in the Hardware/Firmware Engineering Department at the Electronic Warfare Systems + Support work on new product development based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers. + Partner with integrated product teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications. + Activities include detailed digital design, embedded systems, and FPGA development. + Complete specific tasks including circuit analysis, circuit simulation, FPGA programming, design documentation, design verification and testing, and integration of hardware and software at the level of electronic components and circuit boards. + This **1st shift** role is **100% onsite** and based in **Goleta** , **CA** . **Qualifications You Must Have** + Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior work experience. + Experience with basic lab equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.). + Experience using engineering tools (i.e. Vivado, Quartus, etc.) for design (i.e. VHDL, Verilog, etc.). + The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance post-start is required. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
