Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $58 – $61 per hour
Administer radiation therapy to patients in accordance with physicians’ prescriptions and established protocols.
Operate and maintain sophisticated radiotherapy equipment, including Linear Accelerators, Co-60 units, and Simulators.
Coordinate and schedule patient treatments efficiently and accurately.
Prepare treatment plans using imaging and simulation tools to localize tumor size, position, and contour.
Capture radiographic films and photographs for treatment verification and documentation.
Monitor patients for radiation reactions and provide appropriate care and guidance.
Ensure compliance with departmental, state, and national safety regulations and procedures.
Accurately maintain treatment records, port films, and other clinical documentation.
Participate in educational and in-service training programs as required.
Associate’s degree (AAS) or completion of an AMA-accredited Radiation Therapy program.
Current RRT (Registered Radiation Therapist) certification.
Active New York State (NYS) license to practice as a Radiation Therapist.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a clinical radiation therapy setting.
Must successfully pass pre-employment health screening.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and equipment operations.
Excellent attention to detail and documentation.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
